📈 Who We Are: We are rebuilding the energy transaction, making it transparent and fair. Our goal is to put power back where it belongs, in the hands of customers and to take on one of the most critical problems of our century, access to low cost electricity. tem exists to fix a broken global energy market that’s long favoured legacy operators, intermediaries, and opaque pricing. Today’s electricity system was not designed for rapid decarbonisation, AI-driven efficiency or fair access for the actual users - businesses and generators.

We’ve built the first AI native transaction infrastructure to reinvent how electricity is bought, sold and priced. Our technology is designed to cut out the inefficient fees, automate complex market flows, and bring transparency and fairness to energy transactions at scale. In late 2025, after extraordinary growth, we closed a $75 million Series B - led by Lightspeed Venture Partners with participation from Albion, Atomico, Allianz, Hitachi Ventures, Hitachi Ventures, Schroders Capital and others - positioning us for global expansion, deeper product innovation and category leadership.

We’re scaling internationally and building toward a future where AI-driven infrastructure is foundational to electricity markets worldwide. Since launch, our modern utility product, known as RED, has already facilitated thousands of business customers and billions in energy transaction value, proving that modern software and AI can transform an industry built on legacy systems. At tem, we’re not just building another energy company, we’re rearchitecting market infrastructure so that transparency, efficiency and sustainability become the default, not the exception.

🏅 The Role: We're hiring a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join Platform's DevEx stream. Platform is the service that underpins every Engine at tem, running as one unified team across four streams - DevEx, DevOps, TechOps, and QA - staffed project by project rather than siloed. DevEx's mandate is to let any engineer at tem build safely without needing to ask permission first: golden paths, tooling, and standards good enough that people want to use them, rather than mandates that slow them down.

Because ownership across tem's microservices is deliberately open - any engineer can touch any service - DevEx's tooling has to work for the whole engineering org, not just one team. This isn't a "keep the lights on" infra role. DevEx builds real product for an internal audience - portals, dashboards, automation platforms, and developer tooling that engineers, and increasingly non-engineers, rely on daily.

You'll work full stack, from front-end tooling and dashboards through to the serverless services and automation behind them. Priorities are set jointly from internal signal and a quarterly DevEx survey, so what you build is grounded in what engineers actually say is slowing them down. In your first 12 months, you might: Help ship the CI/CD performance project, cutting build and test times that are currently a growing source of friction.

Build golden-path tooling around the identity and access management overhaul, so access becomes automated, granular, and secure by default. Extend the Grafana dashboards-as-code work to give more teams real visibility into their services. Contribute to the internal automation platform (N8N) so non-technical teams can safely build their own tools. Help process and unblock items in the shared Engineering Health backlog.

🚀 Responsibilities: Build with impact: Develop full-stack tooling and internal platforms across modern front-end frameworks and serverless back-end systems, built for adoption by other engineers. Shape the experience: Design golden paths: build tools and standards good enough that teams choose to use them - influence, not mandate. Improve how we ship: Work on CI/CD, observability, QA infrastructure, and automation that removes friction across the whole engineering org.
