What we index

DeUnemployment aggregates publicly available job postings from ATS and job-board feeds and company career pages. The index is refreshed daily, so listings reflect what employers are hiring for right now. We are a search engine, not a recruiter: we never take a cut of your salary, and applying always happens directly on the employer's own website.

How ranking works

Jobs are ranked with AI semantic matching. When you describe what you are looking for in plain words, we embed that description and compare it to every posting's content — so a role that "fits what you do" surfaces even if the exact title never matches your words. This is the same technique used across the search index: no keyword stuffing required.

How salary estimates work

Salary figures on DeUnemployment (including the salary guide pages) are model estimates. A model trained on the postings estimates a typical range for each role, and we report the 10th–90th percentile. Estimates vary by location and experience and are indicative — always confirm with the employer before relying on them.

Remote work & locations

Each posting is parsed for location, country, region, and whether it allows remote or hybrid work. You can see the split on any category page or filter for remote-only roles in search.

For press & researchers

We publish a monthly State of Jobs report with remote-work share, top hiring companies, countries, and cities. Data is refreshed daily and figures are citable. If you are writing about the job market and need fresh numbers, contact us — we can usually run a custom query within hours.
