Job Title: Mechanical Draughtsman Company: Confidential (leading MEP contracting company) Industry: MEP / Construction Employment Type: Full Time Location: Abu Dhabi & Dubai, United Arab Emirates Experience: 3–5 years in MEP contracting or construction Qualification: Diploma/ITI/Certificate in Mechanical Drafting or Mechanical Engineering Salary: AED 5,500–8,500 per month (estimated) Role Overview A leading MEP contracting company is hiring an experienced Mechanical Draughtsman for projects in Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
The role focuses on producing detailed mechanical shop drawings, coordinating MEP services, and preparing accurate as-built drawings for construction projects, with preference for candidates who have UAE/GCC project experience and strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting systems. Key Responsibilities Prepare mechanical shop drawings, coordination drawings, and as-built drawings Develop HVAC drawings, including ductwork, chilled water piping, equipment layouts, and ventilation systems Prepare plumbing and firefighting drawings as required Coordinate mechanical services with architectural, structural, and electrical drawings Review IFC/design drawings and incorporate consultant comments Prepare drawings for consultant and client submissions Coordinate with site engineers and supervisors to support installation requirements Prepare accurate as-built drawings based on completed site installations Identify and resolve MEP coordination and clash issues Maintain drawing revisions and submission records Requirements Diploma, ITI, or Certificate in Mechanical Drafting or Mechanical Engineering 3–5 years of experience in MEP contracting or construction Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD Knowledge of Revit MEP/BIM is an advantage Good understanding of HVAC, Plumbing, and Firefighting systems Ability to interpret IFC, architectural, structural, and MEP drawings UAE/GCC project experience is preferred Good communication, coordination, and attention to detail Strong knowledge of AutoCAD & Revit MEP/BIM, HVAC/Plumbing/Firefighting systems, and MEP coordination & shop drawings How to Apply Email your CV to [email protected].
