Computed Tomography Technologist Job Description We are seeking a skilled Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist to independently perform imaging procedures utilizing prescribed ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise and the ability to reassure and communicate effectively with patients throughout their imaging experience. Responsibilities Independently perform computed tomography procedures, adhering to established scan protocols and adjusting as necessary.

Utilize complex imaging equipment for data acquisition, analysis, reconstruction, and documentation. Demonstrate proper venipuncture techniques and the use of power injectors according to established department protocols. Administer oral, rectal, and IV contrast as per physician orders and assess patients for potential risk factors. Effectively communicate instructions and procedures to patients to alleviate their fears and encourage cooperation.

Identify patients accurately using two identifiers and adhere to universal protocols during procedures. Document patient history and ensure accurate coding and tracking of exams performed. Work collaboratively within the department and with other departments to enhance patient care efficiency. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology or completion of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technologist program.

Current ARRT certification and Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification (NMTC) required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be current. PA Act 31, 33, 34, and 73 clearances are required. Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the field is necessary. CT registry must be obtained within 18 months after graduation or date of hire if primary registry is already obtained. Schedule This position involves a Day Shift schedule of 12 hours, working Saturday, Sunday, and Monday from 9 AM to 9 PM.
