Registered Nurse – ICU Location San Antonio, TX Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM / 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, rotating weekends required. Job Description We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our ICU team. The RN will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients while ensuring a positive patient experience.
Responsibilities Provide direct patient care in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Monitor and assess patients’ vital signs and health conditions. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. Utilize advanced medical equipment and assist in procedures as required. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop patient care plans. Educate patients and family members on health management and post-discharge care.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas (Temp licenses are not accepted). Minimum of 2 years of experience in ICU. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is mandatory. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification is needed. Experience with vasopressors is essential. Meditech experience is preferred.
