Psychiatric Registered Nurse – Adolescent Unit Location Westbrook, Maine Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM, 8-hour shifts, 36 hours/week Job Description We are seeking a skilled Psychiatric Registered Nurse to join our Adolescent Unit. The ideal candidate will have experience in acute inpatient adolescent psychiatric care. This role requires strong de-escalation skills and a calm, professional demeanor to provide effective patient care for those facing mental health challenges.
Responsibilities Provide care for adolescents with thought disorders, psychotic episodes, personality disorders, and manic behavior. Utilize de-escalation techniques to manage crises effectively. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans. Maintain patient safety and provide a supportive, therapeutic environment. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Minimum of 2 years of experience in acute inpatient adolescent psychiatric care.
