PACU Registered Nurse (RN) Schedule 12-hour Day Shift: Monday to Friday, from 10:00 AM to 10:30 PM Job Description The PACU Registered Nurse (RN) will provide high-quality care for patients recovering from surgery in a fast-paced environment. The unit specializes in a variety of higher acuity cases including Thoracic, Orthopedic, Neurology, Vascular, Urology, and General Surgery. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of recent experience in the PACU or an equivalent specialty.
Responsibilities Monitor patients’ vital signs and provide post-operative care. Administer medications and assist with pain management protocols. Coordinate with surgical teams and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care. Document patient progress and communicate effectively with caregivers and family members. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Minimum of 2 years of recent PACU nursing experience.
Active AHA ACLS and BLS certifications. NIHSS Certification required. Experience with Cerner EMR preferred. Holiday Expectations MUST work 2 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day) and 1 minor holiday (The Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year’s Eve).
