About the Job: The Unit Manager will be accountable and responsible for coordinating capacity building, mentoring, coaching, training and development in his / her unit. The Unit Manager will also be responsible for monitoring and ensuring that Quality nursing care and service delivery is implemented and practiced within a multi-disciplinary team Requirements: Registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse NICU trained Compliance with the SANC code for a Registered Nurse and all applicable health care legislations A minimum of 5 years’ experience in NICU Computer Literacy will be an advantage Duties & Responsibilities: Ensure that your unit is providing safe, cost effective quality patient care in line with the clinical governance strategy of the hospital group / hospital and evidence-based practice Evaluate the patient’s journey via patient experience and stakeholder contribution Evaluate and monitor nursing quality indicators and clinical outcomes Communicate effectively with patients regarding their care Promote health and wellbeing of patients and employees Ensure the principles of infection prevention and all international standard precautions are adhered to Implement group quality initiatives Liaise with public liability with regard to all incidents of potential risk to the business Should you meet the above requirements, we urge you to apply by forwarding your CV along with any supporting documents to [email protected]
