Location: Boston, MA Compensation: $150,000–$165,000 Base Salary + Bonus + Excellent Benefits Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Technical Accounting to join its Technical Accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for a CPA with strong technical accounting and SEC reporting experience to take on a highly visible role providing accounting guidance across the organization. Key Responsibilities: Provide technical accounting guidance, including research and interpretation of accounting standards, preparation of accounting memos, and analysis of complex accounting transactions Review and assist with the preparation of financial statements and related disclosures in accordance with GAAP and SEC reporting requirements, including 10-Ks, 10-Qs, and other required filings Ensure compliance with new accounting standards, including ASC 606 and ASC 842, and provide guidance on implementation Assist with the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures Manage teams and project engagements, including overseeing the work of staff and senior accountants Assist with due diligence related to potential acquisitions and other special projects Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to team members on technical accounting matters Communicate with external auditors and other stakeholders regarding technical accounting matters Stay current on changes to accounting standards and regulatory requirements Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field CPA certification required 5+ years of technical accounting experience, preferably within a public company environment Strong knowledge of ASC 606, ASC 842, Pre-IPO accounting, and SEC reporting requirements Experience with financial reporting software and systems such as Workiva or SEC EDGAR Previous experience managing teams and project engagements Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines Demonstrated ability to hire, mentor, and develop accounting professionals To learn more about this confidential opportunity, please email your resume to Kyle Archer at [email protected] .
