Senior Derivatives Operations Specialist Our client, a leading alternative investment manager is seeking a Senior Derivatives Operations Specialist to join its operations team in Boston. This is an excellent opportunity for a derivatives operations professional to join a highly collaborative investment management environment and gain broad exposure to the operational lifecycle of complex derivative securities.
Key Responsibilities: • Manage, prepare, and review daily reconciliations for derivative securities • Reconcile and process principal and interest payments • Investigate and resolve operational breaks with counterparties, banks, custodians, and fund administrators • Prepare, project, and analyze daily derivative margin calls • Partner closely with internal investment, operations, and accounting teams • Develop a strong understanding of the firm’s trading strategies, operational processes, and cash flows • Assist with monthly shareholder statement reviews • Support additional operational, recordkeeping, and data-processing initiatives Ideal Background: • 3–5 years of relevant experience in investment operations, fund accounting, reconciliation, custody, or a related function • General understanding of post-trade derivative settlements • Experience with derivative reconciliations and/or margin processes strongly preferred • Understanding of accounting controls within the investment management industry • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field • Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills • Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and time management • Strong communication and interpersonal skills Compensation: $95K–$105K base + bonus Location: Boston, MA Work Environment: On-site If you have experience in derivatives operations, fund accounting, investment operations, custody, or reconciliations and are interested in learning more, please reach out to Kyle Archer at [email protected] #LI-KA1
