Supermarket Duty Manager – Fresh Food & Deli – Dublin 15 Excel Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Duty Manager to join a busy, high-performing supermarket in Dublin 15, with a particular focus on the store’s Fresh Food and Deli departments. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong fresh food retail professional who enjoys leading teams, maintaining excellent food standards and driving the performance of a busy department.

Salary: €40,000 – €42,000 plus bonus Key Responsibilities Support the day-to-day management of the store, with primary responsibility for the Fresh Food and Deli departments Lead, motivate and develop fresh food and deli teams to deliver excellent standards Ensure counters are fully stocked, well presented and commercially merchandised Drive sales, margin and profitability across fresh food categories Manage ordering, stock rotation, availability and waste control Monitor department performance and identify opportunities to increase sales and reduce costs Maintain the highest standards of food quality, hygiene and customer service Ensure full compliance with HACCP, food safety and health & safety procedures Support staff training, performance management, delegation and daily task planning Work closely with the Store Manager and wider management team to achieve store targets Act as Duty Manager when required, supporting the overall operation of the supermarket The Ideal Candidate Previous management or supervisory experience within a supermarket deli, fresh food or food-to-go environment Strong knowledge of HACCP, food safety and fresh food standards Experience managing and developing a busy team Commercially focused with an understanding of sales, margin, waste and labour control Passionate about fresh food, presentation and excellent customer service Strong communication, organisational and people-management skills Hands-on and comfortable working in a fast-paced supermarket environment Ambitious and keen to progress within retail management If you are an experienced Fresh Food, Deli or Duty Manager looking for your next opportunity in Dublin 15, we would love to hear from you.
