Adult Social Worker - Community Older People TeamLocation-Solihull, West Midlands The Central Depot, 1st Floor Block A Building, Moat Lane, Solihull, B91 2LWPay Rate-£28.40 per hour Umbrella (DFE Capped Rate) Hybrid WorkingHours- 37 per week Monday to Friday | 9:00am to 5:00pmDuration- Initial 3-Month Contract We are currently recruiting for a experienced Adult Social Workers to join a well-established Community Older People Team within Solihull.

These positions are providing maternity cover and offer the opportunity to make a meaningful difference to the lives of older adults while working within a supportive and collaborative environment. The RoleAs an Adult Social Worker, you will work with older adults within the community, delivering high-quality care management and safeguarding interventions. You will be responsible for assessing needs, developing support plans, and ensuring individuals receive appropriate services to promote independence and wellbeing.This is a hybrid role, with attendance at the office required one day per week (Tuesdays).

When not undertaking visits, successful candidates will have the flexibility to work from home. Key ResponsibilitiesUndertake Care Act assessments and reviewsComplete care management activities and arrange appropriate care packagesConduct safeguarding enquiries and risk assessmentsPrepare reports and undertake court-related work when requiredWork collaboratively with health professionals, providers, families, and partner agenciesMaintain accurate and timely case records RequirementsEssentialQualified Social Worker with a recognised Social Work qualificationCurrent registration with Social Work EnglandExperience working within Adult Social CareProven experience completing:Care Act AssessmentsReviews and care management workSafeguarding enquiriesCourt workEnhanced DBS clearance DesirablePrevious experience supporting older adults within a community-based social work team Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975. As this role is eligible for an Enhanced DBS check, applicants are required to declare any cautions and convictions that are not protected under current filtering rules. "If successful, candidates will be required to provide information to support the Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council's commitment to the prevention and detection of fraud.
