Loyal Source Government Services is looking for ten (10) full-time Advanced Medical Support Assistants to provide administrative services to Dayton VA Medical Center in Dayton, OH. Job Summary : Advanced Medical Support Assistants must perform a full range of receptionist duties to our VA community located at Dayton VA Medical Center. AMSA are required to deliver high-quality, compassionate, and consistent care to all individuals.
Pay Rate : $ 21.62/ hr + $5.42 H&W Fringe Duties : · Perform the full range receptionist and customer service duties, for the proper and timely treatment of patients and maintain appointment schedules for one or more clinics or units. · AMSA shall be able to manage the administrative nonclinical aspect of the Primary care team, that includes but is not limited to scheduling and is expected to facilitate any action from inception to closure by tasking, tracking, supporting required functions and other patient activities · AMSA may be required to provide important interfaces and collaborations within larger healthcare system providers including VA and non-VA specialists, hospitals, diagnostic and treatment facilities, and community-based programs.
· Shall work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary coordinated care delivery model. · Perform the full range receptionist and customer service duties, for the proper and timely treatment of patients and maintain appointment schedules for one or more clinics or units. · Assist with clinic access contingency plans by adjusting appointment times, locations, or dates as well as shift patients to other healthcare providers as conflict with staffing and/or coverage occurs.
· AMSA shall use each interaction with the patient to validate and update demographic information, either in person during check-in or over the phone, to decrease the incidence of returned mail due to incorrect addresses and inability to contact patient by phone due to incorrect numbers. · shall collect, scan, and update health insurance information serving a major role in the revenue process.
· Screen/receive phone calls in a courteous and timely manner, determine the nature of request and provide the information desired using privacy and established clinic processes. · Notify primary care admin Supervisor when clinic access is less than desirable or if an individual patient cannot be scheduled within mandated clinic timeframes. · Conduct daily reviews of active/pending consults, Recall, return to clinic list communications for accuracy and disposition.
· Participate in the daily team huddles and weekly team meetings to discuss patients care planning management with their assigned PACT team. · Provide administrative services guiding patients to the Transportation Coordinator for Veterans support services functions. · Communicate with the veteran and stakeholders the conversion of special mode travel requests to patient travel reimbursement voucher claims, when appropriate.
· Plan and provide support services in the following types of programs areas: electronic records management; program coordination; patient scheduling, space utilization services. Qualifications: · Required to have two (2) to three (3) years of experience or have received certification from an accredited institution related to medical administration. Additional Information: · VA Business Hours: 24 hours a day, 7 days a week · Primary Care: Normal clinic hours 0800-1630 Work Schedule: · 8 a.m.- 4:30 p.m.
