We are looking for a Senior Telecommunications System Specialist for our client who meets the following criteria: Language: Bilingual – English & French Security Clearance: Top Secret & NATO Secret Location of Work: On-site – Primarily at the David Florida Lab, 3701 Carling Ave., Ottawa, Ontario. Some work may occur at other DND facilities across Canada. Travel may be required to the United States, Australia, Europe, and the United Kingdom.
Requirements: The Bidder should demonstrate that the proposed resource has a post-secondary education (College/CEGEP diploma or University degree) from a recognized* Canadian post-secondary institution or the equivalent as established by a recognized* Canadian academic credentials assessment service, if obtained outside of Canada, in one (1) of the following areas: Electrical Engineering Computer Engineering * The list of recognized organization can be found under the Canadian Information Centre for International Credentials website, at the following internet links: https://www.cicic.ca/2/home.canada The Bidder must demonstrate that the resource has experience with military data links including the planning, preparation, setup, configuration and operation of a minimum one (1) Link 16 radio from the following list: KOR-24 MIDS or BATS-D.
The Bidder must demonstrate that the resource has experience with military data links including the planning, preparation, setup, configuration and operation of a minimum two (2) Tactical Data Link software gateways from the following list: HUNTR GTS CSI JRE. The Bidder must demonstrate that the resource has experience with military data links including performing advanced manipulation, management, operation, integration and testing of a minimum of three (3) military message protocols from the following list: VMF Link 16 CoT JREAP.
The Bidder must demonstrate that the resource has experience with military data links including performing complex design, modification and testing of communications security systems using military encryption technologies. The Bidder must demonstrate that the resource has R&D Experience with military data links including planning, preparation, setup, configuration and operation of a minimum two (2) Link 16 radios from the following list: KOR-24 MIDS JTRS or BATS-D The Bidder must demonstrate that the resource has R&D experience with military data links including performing advanced manipulation, management, operation, integration and testing of a minimum of four (4) military message protocols from the following list: VMF Link 16 CoT JREAP CESMO SAPIENT.
The Bidder must demonstrate that the resource has experience relating to TDL requirements management, including formulating, documenting and maintaining TDL technical requirements. The Bidder must demonstrate that the resource has experience relating to the operational management of a complex TDL network including the planning, implementation, operation, and active management that would be accomplished by a Joint Interface Control Operator (JICO).
The Bidder must demonstrate that the resource has experience relating to managing, coordinating and developing the required military data link architecture in support of ISR operations and testing events. The Bidder must demonstrate that the resource has experience relating to configuring cryptographic equipment, loading cryptographic material and managing crypto keys for military data link systems.
