The team develops, deploys, and supports mission-focused cyber training solutions used across multiple locations. Engineers work closely with instructors, developers, and system administrators to deliver reliable, realistic training capabilities. Work Schedule: The courses being supported are active from 0700-1800 M-F. Contract core hours are 1000-1400. The DevOps team is flexible on arrival and departure time however there are occasions where one or more DevOps team members will be needed to support testing and maintenance before or after course hours.
Essential Responsibilities: The Software Engineer will contribute to the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of software applications and supporting infrastructure. Team members are expected to broaden their experience across multiple areas of the software development lifecycle while developing technical expertise in one or more areas. Responsibilities include: Design, develop, troubleshoot, and maintain software applications supporting cyber training environments.
Analyze requirements and develop technical solutions that support mission and customer needs. Develop user interfaces, backend services, APIs, automation tools, and data processing solutions. Contribute to the implementation and maintenance of software development pipelines. Configure, deploy, and maintain applications in virtualized and containerized environments. Develop and maintain databases, dataflows, scripts, and automation solutions.
Support the creation and maintenance of realistic cyber training environments and simulations. Perform software testing, debugging, validation, and analysis of results. Evaluate new technologies and contribute recommendations for improving applications and development processes. Document software designs, configurations, processes, and operational procedures. Collaborate with instructors, developers, system administrators, and other technical teams to improve training capabilities.
Identify opportunities to improve existing applications, workflows, and user experiences. Security Clearance Required: TS/SCI with Poly Minimum Education: Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field and two (2) years of relevant experience; OR Bachelor's degree in the same fields and five (5) years of relevant experience; OR Associate's degree (or 18 semester hours of military coursework/training in a computer-related field) and seven (7) years of relevant experience; OR High school diploma/GED and nine (9) years of relevant experience.
