The Irrigation Installation Laborer is the foundational force that turns blueprints into fully functioning systems. Working alongside a dedicated crew, this role is all about hands-on craftsmanship-trenching through earth, fitting PVC lines, installing valves, and shaping efficient water delivery systems for residential and commercial sites. Responsibilities: -Measure, cut, glue, and assemble PVC and poly irrigation pipe, fittings, valves, and sprinkler heads under the direction of the Crew Leader. -Assist with the setup of controllers, valve boxes, drip irrigation, backflow assemblies, and sleeves under hardscapes. -Help test completed systems, adjust sprinkler coverage, and assist with basic troubleshooting and start-ups. -Dig trenches, shovel, and clear areas to prepare for pipe and component placement.
-Backfill trenches, compact soil, and restore job sites upon project completion. -Assist with locating existing utilities, irrigation lines, and landscape features before digging. -Load, unload, organize, and transport tools, equipment, and irrigation supplies. -Keep the work area, tools, and vehicles clean, organized, and secure. -Protect existing client property, hardscapes, and plant materials during work.
-Follow all company safety protocols, wear required PPE, and maintain a hazard-free work environment. -Safely operate basic hand and power tools around open trenches and construction equipment. -Execute daily tasks according to project plans and direct instructions from the Crew Leader. Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Skills: -Previous experience in irrigation installation, landscaping, general construction, or outdoor physical labor.
-Familiarity with installing PVC/poly pipe, valves, sprinkler heads, drip systems, or controllers. -Valid driver's license and experience operating landscape/construction equipment. -Ability to read basic irrigation layout plans and bilingual fluency (English/Spanish). Education: High School Experience: 0-1 years Qualifications: -Dependable attendance, strong work ethic, and a positive, safety-conscious attitude.
-Ability to follow direction from the Crew Leader, complete tasks efficiently, and work effectively as part of a crew. - Ability to safely use common hand tools and basic power equipment. -Capability to perform heavy labor (digging, trenching, lifting, bending) and work outdoors for extended periods in Florida's heat, humidity, and weather conditions. -Reliable transportation to and from the job site or dispatch location.
