Medicaid Product Owner Full-Time | Reports to: Director of Program Delivery & Healthcare Transformation About Our Client Our client is a boutique delivery and transformation consultancy supporting public-sector and healthcare clients across program management, PMO/PPMO build-outs, and Agile delivery. Our teams work directly embedded with client stakeholders to modernize systems, improve governance, and deliver measurable outcomes.

Position Summary Our client is seeking an experienced Product Owner to support a Mississippi Medicaid engagement. This role will serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and delivery teams, translating Medicaid program requirements into actionable product backlogs and ensuring delivery aligns with state and federal regulatory expectations (CMS, MMIS modernization standards, etc.).

The ideal candidate has direct Medicaid, MCO, or healthcare payer domain experience and is comfortable operating in a fast-paced, client-facing consulting environment. Key Responsibilities •      Own and prioritize the product backlog for a Mississippi Medicaid systems/process modernization initiative •      Translate business and regulatory requirements into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and epics •      Serve as the primary point of contact between client business stakeholders, technical teams, and client’s leadership •      Partner with Scrum Masters and delivery teams to ensure sprint priorities reflect business value and compliance needs •      Facilitate backlog grooming, sprint planning, and stakeholder demos •      Track and communicate progress against program milestones, risks, and dependencies •      Ensure deliverables align with CMS guidelines and Mississippi Division of Medicaid requirements •      Support change management and stakeholder adoption activities as new capabilities roll out Required Qualifications •      5+ years of Product Owner, Business Analyst, or related Agile delivery experience •      Direct experience working with Medicaid, Medicare, or MCO/payer programs •      Strong working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies •      Demonstrated ability to translate complex regulatory or policy requirements into actionable technical/business requirements •      Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience presenting to senior leadership •      Ability to work onsite in Jackson, MS as required by the client engagement Preferred Qualifications •      Experience with state Medicaid systems (MMIS, eligibility, claims, or care management platforms) •      CSPO, PMI-ACP, or similar Agile certification •      Prior consulting experience supporting state government healthcare agencies •      Familiarity with CMS certification processes and federal Medicaid IT reporting requirements What We Offer •      Opportunity to lead high-impact work on a state Medicaid modernization program •      Collaborative, mission-driven team culture •      Competitive compensation and benefits •      Direct mentorship from senior program leadership Salary: $100K-$110K
