Become a Secondary Teaching Assistant Location: Newport Start Date: September 2026 Contract: Full-Time | Full Academic Year Hours: Monday – Friday | 8:30am – 3:30pm Pay: From £92.63 per day Are you looking for a career where you can make a genuine difference every single day? This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside experienced teachers, help students overcome barriers to learning, and play an important role in shaping young people's futures. Whether you're experienced in education or looking to begin your journey into schools, we'd love to hear from you. What You'll Be Doing As a Secondary Teaching Assistant, you'll become an important part of the school community by: Supporting students in lessons on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.

Helping pupils build confidence, independence, and resilience. Working closely with teachers to create engaging learning experiences. Supporting students with Additional Learning Needs (ALN), SEMH, and behavioural needs. Encouraging positive behaviour and helping students stay focused in lessons. Becoming a positive role model and trusted adult within the school. No two days are the same, making this a varied and rewarding role where every day brings new opportunities to make an impact.

Who We're Looking For We welcome applicants from a variety of backgrounds, including: Teaching Assistants Youth Workers Sports Coaches Care and Support Workers Residential Childcare Psychology or Education Graduates Tutors Customer Service or Hospitality professionals with excellent people skills If you're patient, confident, reliable, and passionate about supporting young people, we want to hear from you.
