They need patient, consistent and positive role models who can help them develop confidence, resilience and the skills needed to achieve success both in and beyond the classroom. What You'll Be Doing As a Behaviour Support Mentor, you'll play a key role in helping pupils engage in education and achieve positive outcomes.
Your responsibilities may include: Supporting pupils during lessons and learning activities Delivering 1:1 and small-group support Helping young people regulate emotions and develop positive coping strategies Supporting outdoor learning, enrichment and practical activities Accompanying pupils on educational visits and off-site activities Supporting community-based learning and life-skills development Encouraging independence, communication and social development Working closely with teachers, support staff and external agencies Recording observations and contributing to pupil progress and wellbeing plans Your Hobbies Could Change a Young Person's Future In this setting, relationships come before results.
