We are currently recruiting enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to support a range of secondary schools across the Blackpool area on a day-to-day supply basis .
This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, youth workers, sports coaches, or experienced education professionals looking for flexible work within local schools. The Role As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff. You will deliver pre-planned work, manage classroom behaviour, and ensure students remain engaged with their learning throughout the lesson.
Key Responsibilities: Supervising whole classes in the absence of the class teacher. Delivering pre-set lesson plans and ensuring work is completed. Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies. Providing support and guidance to students where required. Maintaining a positive and productive learning environment. Liaising with teaching staff and reporting back on lesson outcomes. The Ideal Candidate Will Have: Previous experience working with secondary-aged students.
Strong classroom management and communication skills. The confidence to lead a classroom independently. A professional, adaptable and proactive approach. The ability to build positive relationships with students and staff. Essential Requirements: Experience working with young people in an educational, coaching, mentoring or support capacity. Availability to work on a flexible, day-to-day basis. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
