Teaching Personnel is recruiting Psychology graduates to work within supportive secondary schools across Newport, helping young people overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential. This is the perfect opportunity to gain hands-on experience working alongside teachers, SENCOs, pastoral teams, and safeguarding professionals while supporting students with a range of additional learning and emotional needs.
The Role As a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant , you will: Provide 1:1 and small group support to students across Key Stages 3 & 4 Support pupils with ALN, Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, anxiety, and other learning needs Build positive relationships that improve confidence, attendance, and engagement Help implement behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies Support students both inside and outside the classroom Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral staff to monitor progress Encourage students to become independent learners Every day brings new challenges, making this a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine impact on young people's lives.
