Special Needs Teaching Assistant Locations: Winchester, Andover, Basingstoke, Farnborough, Hook and North Hampshire Pay: £14.25 per hour Hours: Full-time (Term-Time Only) Start Date: September-October 2026 About the Role We are currently recruiting Special Needs Teaching Assistants to join specialist schools across Hampshire. This is an excellent opportunity to begin or further your career in education within a supportive and rewarding environment.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping pupils with additional needs to access learning, develop confidence, and achieve their individual potential. Working closely with teachers and other support staff, you will assist with learning activities, encourage positive behaviour, support daily routines, and contribute to creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.

Available Settings Special Educational Needs (SEN) Schools Supporting pupils with autism, learning disabilities, physical disabilities, medical needs, and communication difficulties.

Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) Schools Supporting pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs, including those who may present with anxiety, trauma-related needs, or behavioural challenges.
