Specialist SEND Teaching Assistant Central & South Bristol Full-Time | Long-Term & Permanent Opportunities Start Date: ASAP Are you passionate about supporting students with SEND to achieve their full potential? I am recruiting on behalf of a number of mainstream secondary schools across Central and South Bristol for experienced and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistants to support students with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, learning difficulties, speech and language needs, and sensory processing differences .

This role is ideal for someone who has a strong understanding of SEND and thrives on helping students build confidence, independence and success within education. ✅ About the Role As a SEND Teaching Assistant , you will play a key role in supporting students both academically and socially throughout the school day. You will: Provide 1:1 and small-group support for students with additional needs Adapt learning activities to meet individual student requirements Support students within mainstream lessons and specialist SEND provisions Use tailored strategies to help students access the curriculum Promote independence, confidence and positive engagement Support communication, emotional regulation and organisation skills Work alongside teachers, SENCOs, therapists and families Help create an inclusive and supportive learning environment ✅ About the Students You may support students with: Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) ADHD Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) Dyslexia and other specific learning difficulties Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN) Sensory processing needs Physical disabilities or medical needs EHCPs and additional learning needs This role is focused on supporting students with SEND needs rather than behaviour-led or SEMH-focused interventions.
