Medical Surgical Telemetry Nurse (MS-Tele RN) Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Surgical Telemetry Nurse (MS-Tele RN) to join our team within a clinical environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in medical-surgical telemetry nursing and be prepared to provide high-quality care to patients across multiple specialties. Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients across various settings, including Cardiac, Neuro, Oncology, Rehabilitation, Renal, Bariatric, Orthopedic, Trauma, and Emergency Department Observation.
Float throughout the designated 60-mile radius zone as required, offering flexibility to support staffing needs. Maintain patient ratios of 1:5-6, depending on patient acuity levels. Utilize appropriate certifications, including BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS, in the execution of nursing duties. Engage in remote learning modules during the orientation week as necessary. Collaborate with team members to ensure excellent patient outcomes, participating in necessary training and compliance with facility policies.
Required Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of experience in Medical Surgical and Telemetry nursing within the last 3 years. Preference for prior neuro experience and familiarity with EPIC and Alaris systems. Current certifications including BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NIHSS. Work Environment Shifts will be assigned as per facility needs, following a 6-week schedule that may include weekend and holiday rotations.
Flexibility to float within the zone and to different acuity levels, including ICU (limited low acuity holds) and Stepdown, is required. Additional Information Travelers are expected to secure housing within the specified radius, as the requirement to float throughout the zone is mandatory. Cancelling shifts may result in penalties, and notice must be provided in accordance with contract guidelines.
