Unit Specifics Number of Beds: 23 Patient Ratios: 1:4 to 1:5 Staffing: Includes Unit Secretary and Patient Care Technicians (PCTs).
Type of Equipment: Traction, fixators, cooling equipment. Documentation System: Meditech. Scheduling Requirements: Full-time schedule includes three 12-hour shifts and three weekend shifts per schedule period. Floating Policy: Observes a floating policy for contract labor to other medical-surgical units as needed. Patient Experience: Standards include bedside shift report and hourly rounding. Qualifications Current RN License.
BLS Certification. Experience in orthopedic care, telemetry, and NIH stroke scale preferred. Familiarity with post-operative care for knee, hip, and shoulder replacements. Experience in managing trauma patients and some neuro overflow cases. Uniform Requirements Required uniform is navy scrubs.
