Registered Nurse (RN) Position Summary The Registered Nurse works collaboratively with other members of the health care team to assess patients’ needs and decide on appropriate interventions while implementing patient and family education. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from an accredited School of Nursing, Associate’s degree, or Diploma Montana Licensure (Registered Nurse) American Heart Association BLS certification American Heart Association ACLS certification 18 months of Registered Nurse experience Preferred: Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) Preferred: 1 year of circulating experience Preferred: 1 year of scrub experience Essential Job Functions Collect comprehensive data relevant to the patient’s health and situation (Assessment).
Analyze assessment data to determine diagnoses or issues (Diagnosis). Identify expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the patient or situation. Develop a plan that prescribes strategies and alternatives to achieve expected outcomes (Plan of Care). Implement the identified plan of care. Employ strategies to promote health in a safe environment. Enhance the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice.
Maintain knowledge and competency reflecting current nursing practices. Evaluate nursing practice concerning professional standards and relevant regulations. Collaborate with patients, families, and other professionals in nursing practice. Integrate ethical principles in all areas of practice. Incorporate research findings into practice. Provide leadership in nursing practice settings and the profession.

Strong emotional intelligence along with interpersonal and teamwork skills. Stroke Competency Adhere to policies and protocols related to care for patients with hyperacute and acute stroke. Complete two hours of initial cerebrovascular disease education within the first year of hire. Participate in one hour of cerebrovascular disease education annually. Shift Information Variable shifts with call requirements.
