Registered Nurse (RN) – Postpartum Unit Information Location: Denver, CO Unit: 3 North – Postpartum Number of Beds: 23 beds Staff Composition: Approximately 80 staff members, including: Day Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 2-3 CNAs, 9-10 RNs on the floor, 3-4 RNs in the nursery Night Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 9-10 RNs on the floor, 2-3 RNs in the nursery Patient Ratios: 3 to 4 patients per RN (estimated) Equipment: Main computer system – CPN EMR: Meditech / CPN Qualifications Required Skills: Minimum 1-year current experience in an acute care hospital, specifically in Postpartum/Mother-Baby units Current BLS and NRP certifications Preferred Skills: Experience in a Mother/Baby Unit Flexibility with schedule Strong adaptability to new situations Typical Procedures Monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and managing perineal care Educating parents on newborn care, safety, and bonding practices Personality Fit Ideal candidates will be compassionate, patient, and strong team players with excellent communication skills prioritized when interacting with staff and providers.
