Scrum Master / Project Coordinator – IFRS Transformation Location: Culver City, CA Pay Rate: Up to $77/hour DOE Assignment: 6-month W-2 assignment with potential to extend Position Overview A leading global entertainment and media organization is seeking an experienced Scrum Master / Project Coordinator to support a high-visibility finance transformation initiative. This role will be responsible for driving Agile delivery, facilitating Scrum ceremonies, coaching project teams, removing impediments, and supporting overall project execution.
The position will also partner closely with project leadership on financial tracking, budgeting, forecasting, contracts, and preparation for executive-level project reviews. Key Responsibilities Lead Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, and Backlog Refinement. Coach teams on Agile/Scrum practices and drive continuous improvement. Partner with Product Owners to maintain clear, prioritized, and actionable backlogs.
Identify and help remove project roadblocks and team impediments. Track project milestones, deliverables, risks, and dependencies. Support leadership with preparation for Sprint Reviews and Finance Steering Committee meetings. Assist with tracking and analyzing project costs against budgets, forecasts, and contracts. Facilitate communication and collaboration across project teams and stakeholders.
Promote Agile best practices and help teams improve overall delivery and performance. Provide additional project coordination support as business needs arise. Qualifications Bachelor's degree required. 4 years of project or product development experience in an Agile/Scrum environment. Strong knowledge of Scrum and Agile principles and practices. Experience facilitating Scrum ceremonies and cross-functional meetings.
Intermediate JIRA experience; JIRA administration experience is a plus. Knowledge of backlog refinement, story estimation, velocity, retrospectives, and related Scrum techniques. Understanding of traditional project management practices. Experience supporting project budgets, forecasts, costs, or contracts. Strong communication, facilitation, organization, and stakeholder-management skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Proactive, collaborative, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will combine Scrum Master expertise with hands-on project coordination capabilities . They will be equally comfortable facilitating an Agile ceremony, coaching a team through delivery challenges, working with a Product Owner on backlog priorities, preparing materials for senior leadership, and helping track project budgets and forecasts.
