Java / J2EE Architect (JSP / WebSphere / DB2 / MQSeries)

Trigyn's direct government client has an immediate need for Java / J2EE Architect in Albany, NY. Description: • Obtain business requirements to develop automated applications which meet business priorities. • Provide lead programming duties for tax related applications. • Develop and mentor staff using various technologies including J2EE, Spring, JSON, JavaScript and JDBC. • Develop and review detailed documentation for system and program change requirements including detail specifications documents.

• Assist and provide guidance through all phases of the project management life cycle. • Develop unit test plans based on coding changes and user specifications. Conduct unit testing and debugging of all code changes in the development environment. • Coordinate the migration of all code changes (programs, procedures, etc.) from development environment into user test environment. • Assist team members using distributed technologies including Java, DB2, XML and XQuery.

Ensure that staff members are properly trained and mentored. • Provide support, as needed, for defects and issue resolution. Ensure that defects and issues are addressed promptly based on priority. • Facilitate and participate in meetings with ITS and customers. • Communicate both verbally and in writing, with management and users, ITS management, and team members. Mandatory Qualifications: • Makes high-level design choices and dictates technical standards, including software coding standards, tools, and platforms.

Designs multi-leveled architecture or component interactions of a large-scale software system. • Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field. • 84 months experience with J2EE technologies including EJB, JDBC, JSP and XML. • 84 months experience with Java programming in an IBM development environment using IDE of IBM's Rational Application Developer (RAD) that are deployed to WebSphere Application Server (WAS).

• 84 months of IBM DB2 experience working with DB2 databases and experience with XML schemas (definition, querying and automated generation). • 60 months experience in performance tuning applications interacting with databases. • 60 months of experience in IBM MQSeries • 60 months experience with an organization which includes technical design, development, maintenance and end user support of system.
