Product Validations Services - Field Test Coordinator

This position exists to capture the player’s perspective on our products during the downstream stage of the development. This role provides player insights on current and future products by conducting controlled, scientific appreciation and fit tests. It is important to have someone who has played the game at a high level, understands the game from a player’s point of view, who knows how to build and maintain solid relationships within the hockey world and can organize, document, and report the findings. It is essential to have the ability to listen closely to players feedback, ask questions, and formulate recommendations.
Key responsabilities: Assure daily organization of the field testing, including organizing, storing, and tracking all samples, including maintenance of test equipment and test facilities. Compile player and testing team/leagues data, including our internal data collection platform to ensure the highest quality player insights can be obtained. Assist with internal Performance Lab research.
This may include booking players, preparing all necessary equipment and forms, conducting pre-tests and post-tests, and extracting player feedback and insights whenever appropriate. Develop on-ice testing protocols and take ownership of data collection and player feedback collection, implementing it into compelling reports. Extract player insights from the data to ensure actionable information can be communicated to appropriate parties. Continuous learning and technical/research skill development including PowerPoint, excel, and general data analysis technique required to transform data from raw numbers to actionable insights to provide critical feedback to support Innovation and Advanced Design in new product development.

Required Qualifications: Years of experience: At least 5 years related to product testing including a required high level hockey experience and basic understanding of product design/development as it relates to performance.
