As Business Analyst – Transportation Technology, you will help ensure our transportation technology, data, and processes support consistent, efficient, and member-centered service across the organization. Job Summary The Business Analyst – Transportation Technology serves as Active Day’s internal subject matter expert for Route Genie, our enterprise transportation routing and management platform.
This role owns system implementation support, configuration, data integrity, training, reporting, user support, and continuous improvement across Active Day’s transportation network. A key near-term priority is supporting the continued enterprise rollout of Route Genie through the end of 2026. The role connects Transportation Operations, Center teams, Route Genie, IT, Finance, Data/Analytics, Fleet, Safety, and other internal stakeholders to ensure the system is used consistently and effectively.
Qualifications HS Diploma required. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Analytics, Supply Chain, Transportation, Operations, or a related field strongly preferred; equivalent relevant experience will also be considered. Minimum 3years of experience in business analysis, systems analysis, transportation technology, logistics, operations, or a related field strongly preferred..
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to learn and become proficient in complex software platforms. Strong Microsoft Excel skills and experience analyzing data, building operational reports, and presenting findings to business leaders. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to train users with varying levels of technical experience.
Strong organizational and project-management capabilities; ability to manage multiple implementations and priorities across a geographically dispersed organization. Strong attention to detail, commitment to data accuracy, and ability to translate business and operational needs into system requirements. Experience with transportation management systems, routing, dispatch, scheduling platforms, Route Genie, or multi-site system implementations preferred.
Experience in NEMT, Adult Day Services, healthcare transportation, paratransit, Medicaid transportation, Power BI, SQL, APIs, system integrations, or route optimization preferred. Job Responsibilities Route Genie System Ownership & SME: Become Active Day’s primary internal subject matter expert for Route Genie. Maintain a detailed understanding of system configuration, member and facility data, vehicles, drivers, scheduling, routing, dispatch, driver applications, reporting, and system administration.
Serve as the first point of contact for system questions, troubleshooting, configuration needs, and operational support. Enterprise Implementation & Adoption: Support the continued rollout of Route Genie across remaining transportation operations. Develop implementation plans, readiness assessments, data requirements, testing plans, training schedules, go-live checklists, and post-implementation support.
Coordinate with Center Directors, Transportation Coordinators, Dispatchers, Drivers, NEMT Operations, IT, and Transportation leadership. Training & User Support: Develop and deliver standardized, role-based Route Genie training for Transportation Coordinators, Dispatchers, Drivers, Center Directors, and other users.
