RESPONSIBILITIES Has oversight of one or multiple software engineering teams, in the development of specific modules/applications. Leads the collaborative development of an application strategy that matches IT’s stated goals and technology strategy and application roadmap(s) that supports BFS’s needs. Leads projects from requirements to completion. Selects and follows appropriate agile and/or other development principles to ensure the team consistently delivers high quality solutions.
Identifies service delivery gaps and implements plans to improve outcomes. Serves as point of contact or subject matter expert for the business on complex systems and coordinates work across teams. Maintains an understanding the business’ needs, system functionality and processes to align IT strategy with areas of growth and potential cost savings. Creates the balance of the technical investment and the adoption/ reuse of the existing systems and tooling within team(s).
Upholds standards (e.g., coding standards and review) and enables team members to do the same. Evaluates technical feasibility, design and security optimization, production issues and ensures technical quality throughout the development process. Identifies new technologies, industry trends and best practices to be incorporated into IT policies and roadmap. Maintains long-term relationships with vendors and other third-party resources to ensure high quality services are delivered consistently.
Serves as the point person for interaction with multi-functional teams to eliminate blockers, hold technical discussions and solve immediate problems. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This job has supervisory responsibilities, including but not limited to: supervises assigned team members (in-person and remote); talent selection and training; planning, assigning, and directing work; performance management, including conducting performance reviews; recognizing team members; addressing and resolve concerns timely, escalate for help when necessary.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Minimum of 8 years of experience implementing SAP ECC or S/4 HANA Extensive knowledge of Order to Cash, Record to Report or Supply Chain Integration, particularly within the construction industry Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and Executive Leadership.
SAP certification(s) in relevant modules is a plus. Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field 10+ years relevant work experience. Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
