For more information, visit www.thessu.ca GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES The Coordinator, Digital Community is responsible for enriching the student experience beyond academics by creating meaningful digital experiences that foster connection, community, and belonging. Reporting to the Director, Marketing, Communication and Creative, the Coordinator will develop and execute digital content and campaigns that engage students across platforms, with a particular focus on long-form YouTube content and community building.
The Coordinator will use audience insights and analytics to understand student interests, strengthen digital engagement, and identify creative opportunities to grow the SSU’s online community. They will also create and curate content for SSU TVs across campus that keeps students informed, connected, and engaged in campus life. Through their work, the Coordinator will help bring the SSU’s Strategic Plan to life and create opportunities for students to build awareness, understanding, andconnection to the SSU’s mission, vision, and role in the student experience.
The Coordinator, Digital Community will be responsible for working with and maintaining the brand identity and student voice of the SSU. The Coordinator, Digital Community will be expected to work in a respectful manner with all SSU Staff, volunteers, Sheridan College staff and Sheridan College students. Coordinator, Coordinator, Digital Community Responsibilities:• Assist the Marketing and Communications department in developing and executing promotional campaigns and engagements on the SSU digital channels• Develop and coordinate long-form content that is valuable, meaningful, andsupportive to Sheridan’s diverse student population.• Build and nurture the SSU’s Digital community by creating content and engagement opportunities that encourage connection, conversation, and a sense of belonging.• Use analytics and audience insights to evaluate content performance, understand student interests and behaviours, and identify opportunities for growth.• Develop creative strategies to grow the SSU’s YouTube audience, including experimenting with content formats, series, storytelling approaches, and community engagement tactics.• Monitor YouTube trends and emerging content opportunities to help the SSU stay relevant and create content that students genuinely want to watch and engage with.• Collaborate with students, staff, and internal teams to identify stories, topics, and perspectives that reflect the diverse student experience.• &
