The successful candidate's responsibilities will include: Design and test HVAC equipment and systems using SolidWorks and other engineering software tools. Perform calculations, simulations, and analyses to optimize system performance, efficiency, cost, and manufacturability. Prepare technical reports, drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and manufacturing documentation for HVAC projects.
Collaborate with manufacturing teams, engineers, designers, contractors, and clients to ensure successful project delivery. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to HVAC systems. Provide service support to existing clients by addressing inquiries and feedback promptly and professionally. Stay current with trends and advancements in HVAC technology and engineering. The ideal candidate for this position will have: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or completion of a Mechanical Engineering Technology program.
A minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience is requried. Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes. Proficiency in SolidWorks and other relevant design tools. Knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, codes, standards, and testing related to HVAC systems; familiarity with electrical and controls is an asset. Previous experience with sheet metal manufacturing processes is considered an asset.
Experience with MRP or ERP systems is considered an asset. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
