Westcorp is seeking a Suite Renovation Team Lead. The ideal candidate is a working carpenter who leads by example on the tools. This role performs the full scope of renovation and carpentry tasks while guiding crew members to maintain quality and meet timelines. The Team Lead works directly alongside the renovation team every day and is fully involved in hands-on construction work.    This position provides light, on-site oversight of contractors, including noting no-shows and identifying workmanship concerns, with any issues communicated to the Sr.

Regional Property Manager. Responsibility for scheduling, coordination, and overall contractor management remains with the management team.    This role is ideal for a skilled tradesperson who enjoys taking the lead while remaining fully engaged in the physical work of suite renovations.    Who You Are:  You are an exceptionally skilled carpenter with proven experience in residential suite renovations.   You enjoy leading by doing, working shoulder-to-shoulder with your team on the tools.   You take pride in delivering high-quality workmanship and completing projects efficiently.   You communicate clearly and respectfully while supporting others in meeting expectations.   You are highly organized, efficient, and able to keep renovation tasks moving smoothly.   You thrive in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate strong problem-solving ability.   You have a positive, professional attitude and a commitment to safety and craftsmanship.     Primary Key Responsibilities:  Lead the renovation team in all aspects of suite renovations, including, but not limited to, demolition, preparation, disposal, framing, rough carpentry, building, installation of doors and door frames, hardware, closets, and shelving, lights and other minor electrical work, tile work, shower enclosures, installation of appliances, and all finishing carpentry work.   Work hands-on in all renovation activities while providing day-to-day direction and support to renovation staff.   Perform general interior repairs within the buildings, and occasionally at our other Edmonton properties when required, to support ongoing operational needs.  Monitor contractor attendance and basic on-site performance concerns and relay issues to the Sr. Regional Property Manager.  Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas throughout renovation sites.   Collaborate effectively with the Sr. Regional Property Manager and renovation team to achieve quality work and timeline expectations.   Ensure comprehension and adherence to all Westcorp policies, procedures, and Playbook standards.   Ensure all work is performed safely, professionally, and in compliance with Occupational Health and Safety legislation.   Perform other duties as assigned by the Sr. Regional Property Manager.          Required Skills and Abilities:  Minimum five years of professional carpentry experience.

Journeyman carpentry ticket an asset.  Demonstrated expertise in:   Residential framing and finishing, including installation of doors and frames  Drywall installation, taping, and mudding  Exceptional attention to detail and craftsmanship.   Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.   Proven experience leading or mentoring others in a construction or renovation setting.   Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple renovation tasks simultaneously.   Professionalism, reliability, and dedication to delivering top-quali
