Join our team, and help us shape the future of anime! About the role Our team is looking for someone with the passion and skills to support the evolution of our corporate security team. A specific focus will be on defining processes and implementing technology to support a comprehensive enterprise security program, including governance, risk, and compliance. This role will be responsible for ensuring we are designing and evolving technologies in consideration of employee needs, supporting long-range strategy, cross-functional projects, and initiatives across Crunchyroll globally.
This role will require a strong partnership across Crunchyroll’s teams, including Legal, Engineering, IT, People, Workplace Experience, Trust & Safety, as well as third party contractors, and suppliers. About You You have 2+ years of experience in Information Security or Information Technology or a BS in Computer Science or related degree You have experience as an administrator for security and/or IT management platforms You have a strong fundamental understanding of security best practices You have a basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts such as: Email and phishing prevention Endpoint protection Identity and access management Incident response Network monitoring and controls Vulnerability management You have familiarity with operating systems such as MacOS, Linux, and Windows You have basic knowledge of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, HTTPS, firewalls, and VPNs You have the ability to troubleshoot complex problems You have the ability to communicate complex issues to a wide audience, from technical staff to management You have a positive and collaborative attitude toward work You have a curious mindset and a desire to grow in a dynamic, security-focused environment Pluses You have security certification(s) such as Security+ or ISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity Basic scripting experience with Python, Bash, or PowerShell Familiarity with cloud environments such as AWS or Google Cloud You have knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST CSF or CIS Controls You have knowledge of data privacy laws and regulations, including GDPR, CCPA About the Team Investigating security alerts and events using security tools such as SIEM, endpoint protection, and network monitoring platforms Assisting with incident response, including on-call rotation, evidence gathering, finding documentation, and remediation tracking Help maintain security documentation, incident reports, standard operating procedures Performing basic vulnerability assessments and help improve processes related to the Crunchyroll Vulnerability Management Program Participating in security awareness and cybersecurity training initiatives Tracking security program operational metrics, creating reports and documentation Participating in demos and evaluations of proof-of-values for new platforms or tooling Supporting user access reviews and other identity and access management activities Partnering with teams across the company to monitor and implement security standards Investigating and researching proactive security measures Supporting the GRC and Privacy Programs as needed Staying up to date on emerging cybersecurity threats, technology trends and security best practices Working with a focus to level-up security at Crunchyroll Approaching each day with a focus on fostering an environment encouraging growth personally, professionally, and for those around you Why you will love working at Crunchyroll I
