This is a senior, hands-on role that owns statutory accounting, filings, and reporting for a group of Yext's international entities, while reviewing and guiding the team's intercompany and payroll accounting work.
This role reports directly to the Sr. Accounting Manager, International Accounting based in India, with a Staff Accountant as a direct report. What You'll Do Maintain and own statutory accounting, filings, and reporting for assigned entities in compliance with Local GAAP and regulatory requirements Perform and review Local GAAP vs. US GAAP reconciliations for multiple entities, ensuring proper alignment and reporting Prepare and finalize financial statements (FS) in accordance with local regulations and company policies Act as the primary point of contact for statutory auditors; execute audit timelines and prepare and review supporting schedules for audited financial statements Manage ad-hoc regulatory and government filings, including statutory surveys, ensuring accuracy and timely submission Review intercompany transactions and reconciliations across assigned entities, ensuring proper recording, reconciliation, and settlement of balances Review payroll journal entries and reconciliations prepared by the team, and partner with HR/Payroll on payroll-related statutory and compliance matters Support and oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes for assigned entities Coach, review, and support Staff Accountants with day-to-day workload and escalations Drive process improvements, standardization, and automation across the International Accounting team Manage, analyze, and reconcile large volumes of data in Excel from various internal systems and the general ledger Support leadership in completing special projects, ad-hoc reporting and analysis requests, and other tasks as assigned What You Have Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with 6+ years of post-qualification experience Strong working understanding of GAAP / IFRS / Local GAAP, with experience managing statutory reporting and audits for multiple entities Prior experience coaching, reviewing, or managing the work of junior team members Proficient in managing and analyzing large-scale data Ability to identify problems and discrepancies, independently perform research and analysis of causes, and recommend corrective actions Collaborative style with the ability to communicate clearly and precisely on technical and operational issues Must be detail and results-oriented with an ability to work in a cross-functional, fast-paced, and constantly evolving environment Ability to evaluate priorities and multi-task accordingly while keeping others apprised of status with respect to deadlines Excellent written and formal presentation skills Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Excel, Word and Po
