Overview Occupational Therapist (Option 2) Join WakeMed's Rehabilitation Services team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients across the full continuum of care. As an Occupational Therapist, you will help patients improve their independence, mobility, and quality of life through individualized treatment plans, education, and therapeutic interventions. In this role, you will evaluate patients, develop functional treatment goals, and provide evidence-based occupational therapy services tailored to each patient's unique needs.
You'll educate patients and families, recommend adaptive equipment, fabricate orthotic devices when appropriate, and continuously assess and modify treatment plans to support optimal outcomes. This position offers a unique opportunity to work across multiple rehabilitation settings, including: Acute Care Rehabilitation Services (Raleigh and Cary) WakeMed Rehabilitation Hospital Outpatient Rehabilitation Services Additional rehabilitation areas as assigned You will care for a diverse patient population, including adults and children with: Stroke and neurological conditions Spinal cord and brain injuries Orthopedic and post-surgical diagnoses Cardiac conditions Multi-trauma injuries General debility and complex rehabilitation needs As part of the Therapy Services Supplemental Pool, the Option 2 Occupational Therapist provides flexible support across service areas while meeting established annual shift availability requirements.
