What We Offer Schedule: Evenings Department: PICU Location- New Hanover Regional Medical Center What You'll Do A Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) supports the daily clinical and operational functions of the PICU by partnering with the Nurse Manager to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care for critically ill and injured children. The ANM provides leadership and support to nursing staff, coordinates patient care activities, promotes compliance with regulatory and safety standards, assists with staffing and scheduling, and serves as a clinical resource for complex patient situations.
This role helps drive quality outcomes, staff development, and family-centered care while fostering a collaborative, professional environment within the multidisciplinary healthcare team. What We're Looking For Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, required. BSN, preferred. Graduate Degree, preferred. Experience: Minimum of two years of clinical RN experience, preferred. Prior demonstrated nursing leadership, preferred.
Licensure/Certification: Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required. NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions (facility specific) within 3 months of hire for Emergency Departments and Behavioral Health units, required. Unit/Dept Specific Required Certifications. Additional Skills (required): Successful completion of generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing.
