As a Maintenance Senior Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of our equipment and facilities, helping us deliver operational excellence every day.
Hierarchal position: The Maint/Eng Sr Technician reports hierarchal directly to the Maint/Eng Supervisor. The Maint/Eng Sr Technician has no direct reports. Responsibilities Maintenance & Equipment Reliability Perform preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance on production equipment, utilities, and site facilities. Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical equipment failures to minimize production downtime.
Support electrical maintenance activities and identify, report, and escalate electrical issues where required. Execute routine inspections and equipment checks to ensure optimal performance and compliance with operational standards. Maintain equipment and facilities in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and safety regulations. Accurately document maintenance activities and equipment history in relevant maintenance systems.
Continuous Improvement Support maintenance and engineering projects, including equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications. Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, efficiency, and maintenance practices. Share technical expertise and provide guidance to operators on equipment use and best maintenance practices. Contribute to root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions for recurring issues.
Safety, Quality & Compliance Follow all Food Safety, Quality, Environment, Health & Safety (QESH) requirements and procedures. Proactively identify and report safety risks, environmental concerns, and equipment-related hazards. Ensure maintenance activities are completed in compliance with hygiene, safety, and regulatory standards. Support a culture of continuous safety awareness and operational excellence.
Teamwork & Collaboration Collaborate closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, and other site functions to ensure efficient operations. Participate in shift handovers, maintenance planning, and problem-solving activities. Support additional operational and maintenance tasks as assigned by management. Qualifications Education MBO Level 4 qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical discipline.
Experience Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience within a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment. Proven experience performing mechanical troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance. Experience within food, beverage, FMCG, or highly automated production environments is preferred. Electrical maintenance experience is considered a strong advantage. Skills & Competencies Strong mechanical and technical troubleshooting capabilities.
Knowledge of preventive maintenance methodologies and continuous improvement principles. Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating within a cross-functional team. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications. Experience working with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) is an advantage. Languages Fluent English, both written and spoken.
Dutch language skills are an advantage. Shift Requirements Willingness to work in a rotating 3-shift operation. Shift schedule includes: 07:00 – 15:30 (Morning) 15:00 – 23:30 (Afternoon) 23:00 – 07:30 (Night) You will become part of an established maintenance team and follow the site's rotating shift roster to support 24/7 manufacturing operations.
