We're looking for a Sr. Manager, Internal Employee Communications to lead internal, employee-facing communications for our growing organization. You'll partner closely with HR, Operations, Brand, and executive stakeholders — as well as our Field Director of Operations and Communications, who owns studio-facing communications and execution — to make sure every employee understands what's happening across the business and why it matters to them.
This role is ideal for a communicator who knows how to translate strategy into clear, motivating messages, and who understands the mechanics of activation : getting the right message to the right audience, through the right channel, at the right time — not just writing and sending. This is a newly created role, and you'll be building the internal employee communications function. You'll operate as a team of one, serving as both strategist and hands-on executor, with the opportunity to shape what our broader communications capability looks like as the company grows.
What you'll do: Own the internal communications strategy and calendar, ensuring consistent, timely, and clear messaging across the company Partner with HR, Operations, and business leaders to translate organizational priorities, changes, and initiatives into employee-ready communications Draft and manage executive communications, including leadership messages, town halls, and other employee forums Build and maintain enterprise-wide communication channels and cadences, partnering with the Director of Operations and Communications to ensure alignment when messages need to reach studio teams Develop change management communications to support new initiatives, policy updates, and organizational changes Measure the effectiveness of internal communications (improvement in eNPS, open rates, engagement, feedback) and iterate based on data Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders across the business, helping them think through how and when to communicate, not just what In partnership with our Brand Team, manage internal crisis and/or sensitive communications with sound judgment and discretion Use internal communications as a tool to reinforce culture and values — celebrating wins, milestones, and the stories that make our mission tangible, not just relaying operational updates Partner with HR and leadership to strengthen our employee experience and engagement through communications — helping employees feel connected to the business and to each other, especially across a distributed workforce Ensure brand voice and tone consistency across all internal messaging, partnering with Brand to keep internal messaging aligned with external brand positioning Define and evolve a distinct voice for employee communications — one that feels authentic to our culture and resonates across the organization, rather than defaulting to generic corporate-speak What you'll bring: 5-8 years of experience in internal/employee communications, corporate communications, or a related field Proven experience partnering with HR and senior leaders on organizational communications Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to adapt tone for different audiences across a corporate and field-based organization Experience building and executing communication plans across multiple channels, and partnering effectively with adjacent communications functions (e.g., field/frontline comms) to keep messaging aligned Comfort working in a fast-paced, multi-location or distributed business (retail, fitness, hospitality, or similar preferred) A genuine point of view on culture and employee experience — you see communications as a way to build connection and belonging, not just deliver information Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously Sound judgment handling sensitive or confidential information Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience) Compensation & Benefits:
