PURVIS is seeing a talented Software Developer to join our team. The Software Developer will work closely with a team of developers on integrated standalone applications in a Linux environment using Agile development methodologies and tools. The day-to-day responsibilities for this role include: The candidate will be responsible collaboration with team members, software tasking and managing tickets/repositories.
The position requires creative thinking and problem-solving. Ideal candidates will also have strong verbal and written communication skills. Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent engineering / technical degree with a concentration in computer science. Experience should include 2 to 4 years in software engineering, including requirements analysis, problem analysis and resolution, design, and development.
Candidates will have the following skills: Software experience in Q+, C++, Java, C++ Systems Engineer, Embedded Systems Software Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering and Signal Processing. Ideally, experience using the Qt Framework and Qt Creator IDE for developing Graphical User Interface (GUI) layouts, Real-Time UI Data Streaming, Frontend-Backend Data Interfacing and Complex Algorithm Engineering.
Ability to modify existing software to correct errors, adapt to new hardware, upgrade interfaces and/or improve performance. Familiarity with Agile Development methodology the associated tools. Experience using Atlassian tools a plus. Writing software requirements and design documentation. Candidate must be able to obtain a government security clearance to the level of SECRET.
