PURPOSE To be an effective team member of the Business Consulting Division in Ipsos, contributing to project execution and value-creation for clients, business development, as well as personal and professional development within the team  To be a competent business analyst and project manager    ENVIRONMENT Ipsos Business Consulting is the strategic business unit of a global market intelligence and research company.

We assist clients globally to enter, evolve and expand in emerging and developed markets through fact-based market analysis. Our areas of specialisation include market opportunity assessment, competitive analysis, new product development, distribution channel and value chain analysis, market entry strategy and partner diligence. Assisting clients since 1994, we have a strong track record with more than 3,000 consulting engagements covering markets globally.

  OUTPUTS/ACCOUNTABILITY  At Ipsos Business Consulting, you will advise Fortune 500 companies, leading multinationals, large local corporations and government agencies across various geographical markets to tackle emerging problems in this rapidly-changing business landscape. You will work on high-impact consulting engagements across industries and countries, such as helping telecom and logistics providers develop new value propositions, financial institutions find growth in saturated markets, healthcare institutions enter into developing markets and governments craft policies to improve country’s competitiveness in selected industries.

You will be part of a project-based consulting team where responsibilities include project management and execution, conducting primary and secondary research, preparing reports and conducting presentations. For Manager, you will also be responsible for business development with existing and/or new clients and team development within the department.    COMPETENCIES Strong analytical skills with ability to work through complex and unstructured problems.

Well-read with good general knowledge including knowledge of current news locally and globally.  Strong interest in local and international business, strategy, marketing and economic issues. Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills. Fluent in both spoken and written English.   RELEVANT TRAINING Regional training for analysts  Various on-the-job exposure and mentoring  Online training and references  Relevant industry events (workshops, conferences, etc)    RELATIONSHIPS Demonstrate teamwork within BC MY team, with other business units & departments in Ipsos as well as with other Ipsos & BC offices  Behave in a manner that displays professionalism, integrity and corporate citizenship at all times   DEVELOPMENT Develop business analysis skills, which include primary and secondary data gathering, data analysis and forecasting, establishing relationship between different types of information, reporting, and developing strategic recommendations for clients Develop presentation skills  Develop experience and knowledge across different industries    BACKGROUND Experience and qualification: Bachelor degree holder in Business/Management/Economics/Science or its equivalent, with a minimum of 4 years’ working experience (inclusive of 2 years’ experience in a leadership role for Manager), in business/management consulting, commercial research, market intelligence or corporate advisory.

Experience in commercial sectors will also be considered.   Skills/Knowledge: Strong analytical skills with ability to work through complex and unstructured problems. Well-read with good general knowledge including knowledge of current news locally and globally.  Strong interest in local and international business, strategy, marketing and economic issues. Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.

Fluent in both spoken and written English
