About the Role: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Software Engineer Intern to join our growing technology team for Summer 2027. This is an opportunity for a student who wants to write real production software, not busywork. You'll be embedded on a product team alongside senior engineers, working the same sprints they do, with a dedicated mentor and support as you ramp.
The Details: 12-week paid internship, Summer 2027 Onsite in Dallas, TX Strong interns are considered for a full-time offer at graduation Responsibilities: Own well-defined tasks within your team's product area, with support and direction from a senior engineer. Make reliable progress against sprint goals; ask for help quickly when you're blocked. Participate in code reviews, taking direct feedback and acting on it while contributing to team knowledge sharing.
Build up knowledge of the fuel supply and logistics industry — curiosity and quick uptake matter more than prior exposure. Learn the team's established design patterns and conventions, and why they're used. Write clean, tested code with guidance, and validate your own work before it reaches review. Communicate early and often — clear status in standup, clear PR descriptions, and good questions. Qualifications: Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, graduating no later than Summer 2028.
Hands-on coding experience of some kind: coursework, personal projects, open source, or a prior internship. Solid understanding of software development fundamentals, algorithms, and data structures. Proficiency in one or more programming languages; preference given to candidates with experience in our stack (Python, .NET (C#), Typescript, React). Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn new tools and technologies.
Able to work onsite in Dallas for the full 12 weeks, and authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future. Nice to Have (but not required): Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP). Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automated testing. Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
