We provide paid, specialized training in sales, product & services, safety instruction, and certification. GENERALIZED DESCRIPTION : Pest Control Technician personnel are responsible for providing pest control and mosquito treatment services through proper product application to residential and commercial customer properties in order to prevent and eliminate pest infestation and damage as well as ensure sanitation to buildings and structures.
WORK SCHEDULE AND HOURS: Traditional 40-hour work week: 8 hours daily Monday through Friday. Job includes emergency staff designation / on-call requirements with weekend work and night work as a regular part of the job. CLASSIFICATION: Exempt Job Overview: Traditional 40-hour work week visiting existing or new job sites to complete well-defined daily routes and work agendas. Tasks include physically working to diagnose, deliver, and administer treatment and pest services both indoors and outdoors.
(Note: some emergency staff designation and weekend hours are part of this position.) Regular communication with team members and supervisors to address concerns & questions regarding inspections, pest services, treatments, and special requests. Accountability for maintaining company-provided equipment. Job Duties and Responsibilities: COMMUNICATE: Positively interact with team members, managing supervisors and CSR personnel as required to assure job instructions and daily route are well defined.
Professionally communicate with current and potential customers addressing concerns, questions or issues about pest control service, special, and additional treatment requests. Request and collect payment. COMPLETE PROPERTY INSPECTIONS: Examine property and complete visual inspection according to company inspection protocol. Probe for pests and insects including mosquitos, bedbugs, rodents, etc. Identify insects using visual cues and/or printed and online reference and training materials.
Write in a neat and legible fashion to document any findings after physical evaluation is completed using proper forms and documents according to state specifications and regulations and in accordance with office and work-flow procedures. COMPLETE PEST CONTROL TREATMENTS: Secure equipment and assure supplies for job completion are on vehicle. Prepare job site area for treatment according to company protocol and according to manufacturer’s label and law regulations and requirements.
Calculate figures and amounts: Add, subtract, multiply, and divide. Use higher math functions and conversions to calculate percentages and proportions for product ratios and rates of application. Compliantly apply treatments to or around structures as scheduled and according to manufacturer’s instruction. Write in a neat and legible fashion to document pesticide application quantities as well any findings after physical application is completed.
DOCUMENT DAILY ACTIVITY: Complete daily production service documents noting use of products using proper forms according to state specifications and regulations and in accordance with office and work flow procedures. Submit paperwork as required for job payment and processing. Submit report to supervising manager as required. Notate any call-back or in-completed job details to reporting manager and/or CSR staff for further scheduling.
