Printer Service Technician
Description The Printer Service Technician provides responsive technical support and maintenance for printing equipment and network connectivity. This role requires hands-on troubleshooting, strong customer service skills, and timely communication with both clients and internal teams. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Respond promptly to service requests and maximize equipment uptime through efficient troubleshooting and repair.
Maintain high-level customer satisfaction by delivering professional and accurate service. Apply analytical skills using client data, system observations, and diagnostic tools to resolve technical issues. Engage effectively with customers, service teams, sales, and management to align on goals and deadlines. Complete necessary administrative tasks, including ticket logging, parts usage reporting, and meter readings.
Communicate closing details, part consumption, and service outcomes accurately. Perform additional tasks as assigned to support operational needs. Requirements Qualifications Proven mechanical and electrical aptitude. Experience with maintenance and repair of office equipment (e.g., Xerox, Canon, Toshiba, HP) preferred. Strong networking basics (TCP/IP, connectivity troubleshooting). Solid customer service, communication, and independent problem-solving skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and data logging. Valid driver’s license and reliable form of transportation. Capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs, and working in confined spaces or on ladders when necessary. Education & Experience Associate’s degree in electronics, electrical engineering, IT, or related field preferred. Equivalent hands-on experience accepted. Previous customer service and hardware repair experience is a significant plus.
Physical Requirements & Work Setting Frequent lifting, walking, bending, and kneeling in customer environments. Work involves server closets, workstations, and office settings. Prolonged periods of sitting and standing. EMPLOYER PROVIDED LTD: Long-Term Disability (LTD) insurance is an employer-provided benefit and provides protection from loss of income in the event that an employee is unable to work due to illness, injury, or accident for a long period of time. The elimination period is 90-days, and the maximum benefit is 60% of covered payroll up to $6000/month.
