Description Vistra is seeking a Stakeholder Engagement, Event, and Meeting Support Specialist to support the development and execution of strategic stakeholder engagement initiatives for the Defense Suicide Prevention Office (DSPO). This role supports the development, planning and coordination of DSPO roundtable series, meetings, working groups, and stakeholder engagement activities that advance suicide prevention objectives across the broader defense communities.

Responsibilities include agenda development, meeting coordination, event planning, relationship management, knowledge management support, and day-of-event execution. The position requires strong executive presence, exceptional organizational skills, military cultural awareness, and the ability to effectively engage diverse stakeholders in high-visibility environments. The specialist also supports coordination and logistics for additional DSPO events and strategic engagement activities.

While this position is primarily remote, candidates in the DC Metro Area are preferred. Occasional travel to meetings and events in the area will be required. Requirements Master’s degree and 10+ years of directly related professional experience. Demonstrated ability to develop stakeholder engagement strategies that build support, strengthen partnerships, and advance organizational objectives. Experience planning, coordinating, and executing meetings, roundtables, workshops, and working groups, including agenda development, logistics management, scheduling, facilitation support, and meeting documentation.

Proven experience serving as a liaison between multiple stakeholder groups to foster collaboration, communication, and alignment on shared initiatives. Strong executive presence with the ability to professionally engage senior leaders, military personnel, chaplains, clients, and other high-level stakeholders. Experience building and maintaining stakeholder relationships across complex organizations.

Ability to support knowledge management activities, including organizing information resources, documenting lessons learned, and maintaining reference materials. Experience generating ideas, topics, and collaboration opportunities that support strategic prevention, resilience, or wellness initiatives. Ability to obtain and maintain any required government security or access credentials. Additional preferred qualifications include: Experience working within military organizations or supporting military personnel.
