Manufacturing Process Technician

See our video to learn more about our company and our products.  As a the Machine Process Technician (MPT) , you’ll provide day to day support of our Machine Shop team, troubleshooting complex machining issues and identifying opportunities to improve processes, and improve efficiency.

You’ll work directly with all new products/projects by crafting quotes, creating programs, and implementing all necessary documentation from first piece to final inspection. Working within our milling department, you’ll utilize manual machines to create fixtures for complex jobs, ensuring products run seamlessly on the production floor. Having a strong continuous improvement mindset with a desire to improve processes, reduce cycle times, and reduce scrap will be critical to your success in the role.

Requirements   Responsibilities: Create prints, design fixtures, and gages using SolidWorks Create process sheets and ensure machinists have all necessary documentation to complete jobs Prove out and verify programs on CNC multi axis mills Manage inventory for tooling and fixtures Use Esprit to program CNC mills Assist department with complex troubleshooting and setups Provide training, coaching, and mentorship within the department Requirements: 5+ years’ experience programming CNC mills Adept knowledge of Microsoft® Word™ , Excel® and PowerPoint® software Experience using CAD Software, preferably SolidWorks Working knowledge and experience using GD&T Preferred knowledge: Knowledge and familiarity with programming manual CMMs Experience working in a lean manufacturing environment Leadership experience (direct or indirect) This opportunity is located Swiss Precision Turning, Inc.
