Description Responsibilities: Obtain a thorough history from pet owners Assess if a patient is stable and obtain vitals accurately Assist veterinarians in routine examinations and procedures Administer medications, anesthesia, and monitor patients Collect and perform in hospital laboratory tests, including bloodwork Prep and maintain sterile technique for procedures and instruments Position pets for radiographs and obtain images with correct technique while following radiation safety Educate pet owners on diagnosis, care, and post-treatment instructions Collaborate with fellow team members to provide exceptional patient care Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment Requirements Qualifications: Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) preferred but not required Experience working in an urgent care/ specialty hospital preferred but not required Proficiency in anesthetic drug administration and monitoring Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment Compassion and empathy for pets and their owners
