What The Role Entails The Vice President of Accounting is responsible for overseeing Dalian Development’s accounting operations, financial reporting, and finance functions, including budgeting, forecasting, and strategic analysis.

This role ensures the integrity of financial information, compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements, including HUD loan covenants and requirements, and the development of scalable processes and systems to support business growth. The VP partners closely with leadership to provide financial insights that drive strategic decision-making, capital allocation, and operational performance.

This individual leads and develops a high-performing team, manages relationships with auditors, third-party property management companies, and regulatory stakeholders, and plays a critical role in risk management, financial planning, capital markets coordination, and overall business strategy. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with deep technical accounting expertise, strong financial acumen, and a proven ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment.

What You Will Get to Do Oversee budgeting, financial reporting, and analytics to ensure accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery to internal and external stakeholders Prepare and maintain financial statements, supporting year-end activities including audits and tax projections Deliver financial analysis to support capital investments, pricing decisions, contract negotiations, and strategic initiatives Monitor market conditions and industry trends to inform business planning and investment decisions Participates in financial due diligence and underwriting activities for acquisitions and development opportunities Participates in research and data analysis to support investment and development strategies Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness Establish and maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS and applicable regulatory requirements, with specific accountability for HUD loan covenants and requirements Develop and continuously enhance accounting policies, procedures, and best practices Serve as the primary liaison with external auditors, tax advisors, regulatory bodies, and third-party property management companies to support accurate reporting and compliance across managed properties Lead cash flow forecasting and liquidity planning to optimize capital allocation Partner with the capital markets team to support the sourcing, structuring, diligence, and closing of construction and permanent financing Partner with executive leadership to support strategic planning, growth initiatives, and operational decision-making Drive process improvements, system enhancements, and automation initiatives to improve efficiency and scalability Identify financial risks and implement mitigation strategies to safeguard company performance and assets Collaborate cross-functionally with legal, tax, FP&A, and operations on complex transactions and business initiatives Review and approve technical accounting matters, including revenue recognition, lease accounting, and capital expenditures Monitor compliance with debt covenants, including HUD lo
